Dart Bank Promotes Erica Johnson to Senior Vice President, Human Resources Director

MASON, Mich., November 21, 2024 – Dart Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Erica Johnson to Senior Vice President, Human Resources Director. Erica, who joined Dart Bank in 2019 as a Human Resources Generalist, will assume a position on the senior leadership team currently held by Karla Spoor, a highly respected leader who is set to retire in February 2025 after dedicating 44 years to shaping Dart Bank’s human resources into the people-focused and growth-driven department it is today.

In her new role, Erica will play a key role in shaping the future of the Bank’s workplace culture and employee success. She will oversee all Human Resources functions, from talent acquisition and employee development to compensation, benefits, and compliance. Her focus is on creating impactful strategies that support our employees and strengthen Dart Bank as it continues to grow.

She was also the 2023 recipient of Dart Bank’s Value Award for Integrity.

“Erica’s passion for creating a positive, people-focused work environment and her ability to execute on her vision is easy to see and it makes her incredibly valuable to Dart Bank,” said William J. Hufnagel, President and CEO of Dart Bank. “We’re excited to see her elevate the experience and growth of our employees at Dart Bank and we have no doubt that her talent and vision will help us continue building a great place to work.”

As she steps into her new role, some of Erica’s top priorities include continuing to drive Dart Bank’s impressive workplace culture to even greater heights, ensuring Dart Bank continues to be recognized as a national award-winning workplace, and building training programs that empower employees to grow and thrive. She’s also focused on hiring and retaining the best talent to support the Bank’s future growth as it enters its second century of doing business.

Erica graduated from Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
