Matthew McDonald joined Dart Bank in September 2026 as Business Development & Engagement Officer. In this role, he helps strengthen the Bank’s presence in the community by building relationships with business owners, professionals, and community leaders throughout the markets we serve. As a community ambassador for Dart Bank, he works to create new opportunities, understand client needs, connect individuals and businesses with the right financial resources, and support the Bank’s commitment to personalized, relationship-focused service. He collaborates with teams across commercial banking, treasury management, mortgage banking, wealth management, payments, and retail banking to help clients access solutions that support their financial goals.
Prior to joining the Bank, Matthew served as a Director of Relationship Development within the banking industry. Earlier in his career, he spent seven years with a Lansing-area family business, holding roles in corporate development, project accounting, and finance leadership before advancing to Director of Finance. A lifelong Lansing-area resident, Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Economics and Business and Society from the University of Oregon. He currently serves on the Teaching & Mentoring Young Leaders board and the Charity Partner Committee for the Izzo Legacy and remains actively involved in the local community. Matthew lives in East Lansing with his wife and two children.
